Getting High As A Kite In Galveston

We went down to the gulf coast over the weekend and stopped in Galveston to visit with my friends from the Surfside Flyers Kite Club who had set up their usual Saturday flight across the road from the beach. The beach along Seawall Blvd is too narrow and too crowded to safely fly these large kites, so they set up in an empty field nearby. The winds were 20 mph, gusting to 25 mph or higher, so we didn’t launch a drone in this location. Instead, we used our DJI Osmo Action camera to scope out the event.
