This video features a couple of the larger sailing boats, although they were using their motors, rather than their sails for the parade… We had this extra footage laying around and decided it deserved to be shared as well.
Members of the Canyon Lake Patriotic Boat Parade organized a July 4th Boat Parade starting at the Canyon Lake Marina on the north side of the lake. Unfortunately, the frequent rain storms in the morning scared off a large portion of the participants, leaving only about a dozen boats to participate in the event. The rain cleared thru the area around 11:30am and stayed gone for about 4 or 5 hours, allowing the participants to have a fun day out on the water in their boats.
