In January 2023, we had the opportunity to fly inside the Hill Country State Natural Area (state park) while the Bandera 100K (Hoka One) trail run was happening. We were based out of the Yaya Aid Station out in the middle of a meadow. This cross country trail run is one of many operated by Tejas Trails. The 100K runners started at sunrise and had 24 hours to finish up. The last runner cleared Yaya Aid station around 6:20am.
