It doesn’t take much effort to talk me into flying drones these days, depending upon the weather of course. In between commercial projects, I like to just go fly for the fun of it.
Last weekend, I had the chance to spend some time down on the Texas Gulf Coast. Here are a couple of videos from that trip. I plan to return later once the weather improves, to get some more coastal flying time under my belt.
This video was made at Surfside Beach, near Freeport, Texas. Just some casual flying along the coast, with the sound of the wind and surf in the background. I used a separate digital audio recorder to record the audio track, then added it in post production. The drone does not capture audio, only video, because otherwise all you would hear would be wind and propeller noise.
From Surfside, I drove up the Bluewater Highway to Galveston, Texas. I found some beautiful huge kites being flown from the beach on the east side of the causeway bridge.
