I’ve always enjoyed flying around various sporting events, just to share the aerial photos and videos with my friends on Facebook afterwards. It also highlights some of the volunteer organizations that I belong do, but the primary focus at the time was to have fun flying. Now that I’m a Part 107 certified pilot, I can start making videos to better promote the events and their sponsors.
I’ve done canoe races, cross country trail runs, bicycle rides and in-city marathons in the past. Not always using a drone, and in the beginning, not nearly as sophisticated of editing as I’m doing now. It has been a very enjoyable learning curve for me over the years.
